I wish we had a happier update for you however things haven't really changed here. New York is beginning to open up again since the measures the state has taken have been slowing the spread of the virus quite effectively. We've all been hibernating in our homes for almost 4 months and that has worked for us although in much of the rest of the country the infection rate is spiking. We've received many questions about reopening but we don't see that as realistic for a club such as ours. Phase 3 allows restaurants and other business to open but the virus is still out there and the nature of a club like ours isn't compatible with social distancing. Spending time in an indoor space being intimate with a large group of men does not seem to be a wise option for the current moment with or without masks. Most people want to remain safe and the governor is actively discouraging people from coming into the state so we need to approach our choices with considerable thought.
Some of the venues are considering reopening but we at the Jacks don't feel it would be feasible for us. We don't want to be responsible for anyone getting sick from one of our parties and we all know that would be quite possible. There are online parties happening and we hope eveyone can enjoy those. Bateworld has been very active and I believe the Philadelphia Jacks hosts weekly online parties. I'm sure there are many others.
